Weekly Roundup 24th-28th February 2020

It is great to be back in Parliament after the half-term recess. Every week here is so busy it is very important to have time down in the constituency to meet constituents and recharge your batteries. But now everyone is back and there is lots to be done!

Flick appointed PPS

Meon Valley MP Flick Drummond has been appointed as Parliamentary Private Secretary (PPS) to international development secretary Anne-Marie Trevelyan.

The unpaid promotion means Flick will become the ‘eyes and ears’ of the minister in parliament and liaise with MPs on her behalf.

Weekly Update – 10/02/20 - 14/02/2020

Last week ended with some fascinating constituency meetings and events. I met with Inspector Andy Tester of the Hampshire Constabulary to discuss the issues some Meon Valley residents are having with speeding and noisy motorbikes.

Flick is supporting 'Brew Monday'

Flick is supporting the Samaritans’ ‘Brew Monday’ February fundraising initiative which helps people turn the winter blues into brews. 

Weekly Roundup 3rd-7th 2020

Last week we left the EU and, as I spoke about in my last update, that means we can start to focus on other issues. This week began very much in that spirit, with the second reading of the Agriculture Bill. This is an exciting Bill that will have huge ramifications for Britain’s farmers.

Flick visits Barratt Homes in Waterlooville

Meon Valley MP Flick Drummond has met with house builder Barratt Homes in Waterlooville to tour newly completed social housing and discuss the construction industry.
