Inspirational young people or community groups are being sought by Portsmouth South MP Flick Drummond to be nominated for a Kids Count Recognition Award.
Anyone between eight and 25 can be nominated if he or she has inspired others by ‘their personal dedication, personality, enthusiasm, resilience, flair and commitment to one, or a number of issues affecting others’.
Community groups with proven track record within their own community to protect and foster the well-being and development of young people can also be nominated for the award organised by the charity.
‘There are many young people and groups in Portsmouth who are doing wonderful work for those around them, often without thanks or recognition,’ said Flick.
‘So if you know someone or a group who is a shining example to others in this way then please drop me a line and I’ll consider nominating them for the award.’
The winner will have an opportunity to visit the Parliament and meet Ministers, MPs and various celebrities, who present the awards.
Nominations can be sent to Flick Drummond MP, c/o House of Commons, London, SW1A 0AA or email: flick.drummond.mp@parliament.uk.
