Meon Valley MP Flick Drummond went out with local litter pickers Trashbusters at the weekend to help clear up a park in Waterlooville.
Started only a few months ago by Gayle Samsonator, the group now has 300 members and is out clearing up communities every fortnight.
Flick joined Gayle in a socially distanced manner to clear rubbish and fly tipping from Longwood Park.
“I am so pleased to have gone out and spent time clearing the park with this fantastic group doing so much for its community,” said Flick.
“We had 30 trashbusters on Sunday morning for the pick and we soon discovered the park needed a good clean with someone even dumping a pram.
“It’s very sad people continue to drop litter and dump their unwanted goods but we are also blessed with this group and its community spirit. Many thanks to everyone for getting involved.
“I will be back with my hi-vis jacket and litter picker soon.”
