Flick speaks about reforming GCSEs in Westminster Hall Debate on 'Introducing a Natural History GCSE'

Wednesday, 1 December, 2021

Today I spoke in Caroline Ansell's Westminster Hall Debate on Introducing a Natural History GCSE. I discussed how there are better ways to integrate natural history into a school curriculum, rather than introducing a new GCSE. I believe that GCSEs no longer have any place in our assessment system and think we should be having a 14-18 curriculum which could include natural history as a topic, as well as other subjects which will give the skills and knowledge to young people.
