At present, I am continuing to meet with constituents but with added precautions around keeping a distance and not shaking hands.

I very much welcome the quick and decisive action by the government to implement the £30 billion economic package to help the country deal with the temporary challenge of Coronavirus. People are worried and the government has responded with a raft of substantial measures.

Air pollution has an impact on health

The impact of air pollution on human health was highlighted at a parliamentary reception attended by Meon Valley MP Flick Drummond this week.

The event, hosted by the British Lung Foundation, heard first-hand about the devastating impact of air pollution to human health.

It is great to be back in Parliament after the half-term recess. Every week here is so busy it is very important to have time down in the constituency to meet constituents and recharge your batteries. But now everyone is back and there is lots to be done!

Flick appointed PPS

Meon Valley MP Flick Drummond has been appointed as Parliamentary Private Secretary (PPS) to international development secretary Anne-Marie Trevelyan.

The unpaid promotion means Flick will become the ‘eyes and ears’ of the minister in parliament and liaise with MPs on her behalf.
