Statement from Meon Valley MP Flick Drummond on today’s Budget.

I very much welcome the quick and decisive action by the government to implement the £30 billion economic package to help the country deal with the temporary challenge of Coronavirus. People are worried and the government has responded with a raft of substantial measures.

Flick appointed PPS

Meon Valley MP Flick Drummond has been appointed as Parliamentary Private Secretary (PPS) to international development secretary Anne-Marie Trevelyan.

The unpaid promotion means Flick will become the ‘eyes and ears’ of the minister in parliament and liaise with MPs on her behalf.

Last week we left the EU and, as I spoke about in my last update, that means we can start to focus on other issues. This week began very much in that spirit, with the second reading of the Agriculture Bill. This is an exciting Bill that will have huge ramifications for Britain’s farmers.
